Haven't found pic of my wee gadget yet Matt... I can remember what I did if thats any good! big_smile

Inlet and outlet were barbed chromed brass fittings with O-rings for watercooling a PC, about 5/8" BSP if I recall. They were threaded into each end of 2" length of ally bar (rod would work if you have some around) and the temp sensor was threaded into the hole bored through. The sensor is a tapered thread. Cant remember the type but I still have the tap so can check next time I'm in the shed.

1/8 NPT is the standard size for coolant/oil pressure senders. The actual diameter of the threaded part is approx 10mm.
It does get confusing when talking about taper threads.

Ah yes, coming back to me now. I was a bit sceptical when I bought the tap, but it was right. 1/8 must be the taper ratio.
