They sell it cheaper at the counter? That's about half the price they charge at the Barnsley dealership for the filter, last time I got one.

That's what the invoice says...the rest is postage.

Re: Oil filter

Might give them a bell then and check. I pass that dealers every few weeks. What's the bet they'll quote a totally different, (higher), price for counter collection? big_smile

I can't see that happening - although I believe they apply a surcharge for those that are particularly objectionable or have strawberry blonde hair ...

What part number do they list on the invoice for the filter, btw?

Re: Oil filter

T90915-30002-8T oil filter.  It's very clear on the invoice as a unit price....be interesting to see what excuse they come up with when you ask for one at that price.

Re: Oil filter

Won't it just. If they do actually supply them at that price directly, I'll be on to the local dealer to find out why they don't. big_smile

Re: Oil filter

Is a dent, (quite notable but not massive), in the top of the filter a problem, or will it not affect anything? Ordered one, (their use of Sheffield over Rotherham is a tenuous association, and it ain't the dealer I thought), and it has a dent in the top when it arrived. Use it, or get back onto them over it?

#1802-04-2012 17:38:57

Re: Oil filter

i would get it changed persoinally, dont know if it will reduce flow through the filter, not worth risking it to find out.

Enough to be detrimental, or should it be fine to use?

Re: Oil filter

Looks fine to me...I would use it, but no doubt others may feel different.

Re: Oil filter

Sweet. Cheers chaps. smile

#2503-04-2012 22:34:29

Re: Oil filter

not as bad as i assumed there, thought it were in centre of filter, is it right that if there is a dent in the centre it could corrupt oil flow?
