Time to go..

At last the wait is over.

Our place is will be sold in two weeks time and all the stuff in it gone via boot fairs and eBay.

Then it's off to where ever we end up. Hanging around to uk till the weather changes and to see the latest grandchild born in July. No time limit on our trip....minimum two years, max five we think.

We may head off to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam in sept for six months and bum around just to escape the weather. Or head for Africa straight away. I like the idea of being a bit flexible.

So, it will be life in a surf.....can't wait.

He's not escaping me, he's leaving the field clear for me to be unleashed on you  devilish

The bad news for you is that I know Kev and his good lady Heike, so no escape.

Now for Kev and Heike, have a good trip and send us pics !

Re: Time to go..

Just back from the states ( wouldn't mind one of those Toyota tundras 5.7ltr petrol)

Collected the truck from Tony who has been replacing as much stuff as possible... Drive home was great, the best it's felt.

Thought I would mention that I got a rad on eBay...and.....it's top drawer. Aluminium and plastic, build quality is good and best of all about £70.

Correction, best of all the temps are super cool...huge difference from the brass roughtrax one.

Coolparts is the sellers name on eBay for anyone interested.

Re: Time to go..

Wise decision. big_smile He can be a slippery bugger, (though that could just be due to his insistence on covering himself with oil periodically devilish).

Yep....been away for a month now, but stayed in the uk due to our eldest having another grandchild.

Now sitting in her house as the baby has been born and we will be hanging around until she recovers. Things were touch and go with the birth and she lost all her blood due to a rupture.. 5ltrs!! And 14 bags to replace it! Not good. But she and baby are ok now.

I have posted next door details of a blog and faceybooky link if you fancy reading my ramblings.

So, where to spend winter?? Matt's back garden maybe... whistle

Re: Time to go..

Well it's winter on Crete... Had a couple of issues with the truck, such as a two week old alternator throwing its toys out the pram. The engine heating up too much causing a big stay on Sicily..all of which turned out to be a failing viscous fan!! The story has more to it and is on Facebook ( Kevin Heike ) short story is I have a new AMC head set boxed up in the back of the truck... whistle

The truck now runs super cool, even fully loaded up seriously high mountains.

All pics so far are on FB...

Cheers guys..

Re: Time to go..

Crappy luck with the fan. Everything running fine now? What happened with the alternator?
