Could someone...
...ask him if he redid all the earth straps, checked battery connections etc, and also ask as to what condition the old plunger/solenoid was in.

I seem to recall he's had more than his fair share of electrical gremlins upto just. I think he's already been through the battery, straps and connection phase, but I could be thinking of someone else. The way he racks up those electrical faults though, it's well worth checking again.
