Re: Grand Prix

Bloody shite bbc f1 website can't even be bothered to update from last year so i got a different website to find the teams for this year.Should be a good season this year.No fuel stops this year so thats gonna make it even better

Re: Grand Prix

Re: Grand Prix

Excellent!

Looks like it could be worth watching again. I gave up around the same time it went to ITV.
Nice to see lots of Cosworths on the grid too. smile

I predict that Hamilton will be given a hard time this year unless team politics come into play. roll

Re: Grand Prix

I do like rallying, but F1's been more interesting the last few years.

Re: Grand Prix

It looks like it could be good this year, but I've thought that before. The proof will be on Sunday, if I fall asleep during the race (like I have done since that german entered the fray) then it's not improved.

#913-03-2010 20:13:09

Re: Grand Prix

so was it a surprise..........that was low fuel now lets see who can look after their tyres

Re: Grand Prix

i'm still bored, maybe if they changed the courses each year, new layout to keep drivers on their toes, also some nudging like the BTCC would make it a bit more exciting.

Like they do at Le Mans?

Re: Grand Prix

devilish  lol  lol

They have changed the circuit but can not bump in open wheel racing like they do in the BTCC

Re: Grand Prix

Sorry missed the practice, as I was recovering from a night shift (quick change overs this week due to overtime back on days Monday, so need to shift the sleep patern quickly). Will see how the race goes tomorrow.

Re: Grand Prix

I reacon this will be one of the best seasons in f1 for a few years.
No fuel stops
only 8 engines for the season
11 sets of tyres down from 14 for each driver
All we need now is for the cars to go back to the original gear chage and then that would make for some excellent driving then

#1514-03-2010 08:49:18

Re: Grand Prix

hmmmm back to stick shift ...... that would be good........... Senna was the last drive to move to the paddle shift when he moved to williams

#1614-03-2010 09:02:47

Re: Grand Prix

it will make a better race if/when they go back to stick changing.
Also having the 4th marshall's now such as Mansell ex world champions to give their views on incidents before the FIA give out penalties aswell
I am looking forward to this season's races actually and if the fia decide to make these other changes over the next couple of years then F1 will be even better to watch

#1714-03-2010 12:57:33

Re: Grand Prix

Well it has not done a lot for overtaking by lap 26

#1814-03-2010 14:20:12

Re: Grand Prix

Lotus done well to finish the race.ok so they were last but at least they finished.
This race wasn't as good as i thought it was going to be but thats probably due to the track being altered which reduced the overtaking.Hopefully the next race will have a bit more excitement tho.
Vittell was unlucky tho but it comes down the the designers making that new exhaust if that was the problem and it not being tested 100%

Re: Grand Prix

From my point of view the new teams bring a new element, now we got back markers again, and a scrap between them (well we will when the buggers can make a car that doesn't fall apart - are LR making them ?)

Own up, who grinned at the pit stop for HRT ?

Re: Grand Prix

Well i was disapointed as was hoping the new rules would make for overtaking .......sadly it didn't happen today

#2114-03-2010 16:49:49

Re: Grand Prix

one word descibes that race

NAF!

Now I'm waiting for the BTCC to start up again.

Re: Grand Prix

They're going to find it difficult to pick out the 'highlights' to show later.

Re: Grand Prix

Complete and utter shite. If the only thing they're going to do is try and baby the vehicles around the track all season, might as well give it up as a bad job now.

It wasn't that good or were you watching through your rose tinted spec's again.
I went to do an odd job for SWIMBO and came back 18 laps later and feck-all had changed.
