Today's the Shi**est day
Working away today in work when about 12:30 this [ I wonder if the wife will... ] runs into our sight and grabs 2 new consaws,
i took off after him up the road but he got into his car and got away....
walk back to site and check van just incase,
found about €2,500 worth of tools stolen....
[ Off to see the wife ] EASTERN EUROPEANS..... THIEVEING [ Off to see the wife ] SCUM....
had my 36v li-ion hilti drill, and my dewalt kits stolen as well as 2 aluminium Waku ladders....

I know this is work stuff etc etc...but some household insurance covers for stuff stolen in cars or lost away from home. Just trying to think of a way to get something back.

Unless the tools were all worth more than the specified single item limit on your house insurance, they ought to be covered. I suppose there could be some sort of business exception (I assume they were work tools), but worth a pop definitely... The max value limit is usually at least £1000 and often more these days - sometimes there are variable limits for e.g. jewellery and watches. I would be very surprised if there was an express exemption for tools.Don't think so because I never had tolls specified on my policy...

Household as opposed to building insurance is down to the individual. Must admit I have never claimed on mine in 30 years. Worth getting for the future Bob as it can be quite cheap.
