He'll be gone now until the new year.

Your recommendations for a bottle of malt would be appreciated. I prefer peaty islay malts most of the time

That's what we've all asked this year ......he's either been buried in his excavation or he's vacationing in HMP somewhere......or he's in hiding with George  smile

Re: Long time no type

hmm

I'm NOT a big peat fan but I'm not as anti as I used to be ...

If you like big, rich and peaty then I'd suggest 16yo Lagavulin

Slightly less peat and lighter Caol Ila 18yo

Less peat but richer than Caol Ila is Talisker 18yo (Not Islay but Skye)

Slightly cheaper:

Less peat and lighter than any of the above Highland Park 12yo (Orkney)

Lighter but more peat than HP 12 (Same peat as Talisker 18yo) Bowmore 12yo

Lighter than Bowmore but same peat as Caol Ila 18yo Talisker 10yo

I hope this helps a bit  big_smile

cool

Whatever your drinking order me a couple of pints please lol

I seem to remember when I last looked in Matt was digging something up! ( or was it burying something) also repairing an old lathe, and doing summat with an industrial belt stapler (what ever turns one on I guess) lol

Re: Long time no type

Bought an 18yo Highland Park yesterday  big_smile   I don't think the financial controller will be very happy when she finds out - especially since I bought a bottle of Jamesons and a 15yo Glenfiddich today  whistle
