Clear Front Indicators

One of the few cosmetic changes I made to my new Surf was to fit clear front indicators. I just think they look so much nicer, especially on the dark blue. I got mine through a fellow forum member who imported a number from the US. They are direct replacements for the standard ones and come with amber bulbs, although I also got some "chromed" amber bulbs so you do not get the amber showing inside the units unless they are flashing.

They are very easy to fit, you just need to remove the old units with a cross-headed screwdriver, twist the bulb holder to release from the old units, replace the bulb and fit the new units.

The amber bulb is very obvious, if you want the complete "clear" look you will need to buy some chromed amber bulbs (look silver but glow amber) which should be available at most car supplies places - they are quite common nowadays as a lot of cars like VW Golfs have totally clear front light clusters.
